First Group Dynamics True VoIP

What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that allows you to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analogue) phone line.

What is FGDTV?

FGDTV is a bespoke VoIP platform that has seen over 5 years of development & experience from First Group Dynamics. Using 3 years of experience of the Cisco Call manager platform, FGDTV engineers have been able to study various developments (good & bad), take the best elements and integrate this with the worlds best open source platforms and create a truly unique, stable and most of all TRUE VoIP experience.

How will FGDTV benefit more than a standard PBX?

FGDTV brings to you what no other system can, and that is flexibility. Whether you are working the other side of the world or just in the office, you know that being powered by an FGDTV system will always place you in contact with the rest of the word 24/7. But it does not stop there... FGDTV is packed with 21st century features and reliability. All FGDTV systems feature 99.9% redundancy using the traditional PSTN network aiding your companies disaster recovery program. FGDTV is totally customisable to your needs from 2 users to 1000+ FGDTV can work around your needs.

What does it do?

FGDTV is not about "what it can do" but what YOU want it to-do. FGDTV is just like having a bespoke PBX but without the headaches. Software & changes can be made within seconds with no affect to the end-users, so even if you don’t get it right the first time its not hard to put it right or change.

FGDTV > Traveller

The FGDTV ‘Traveller’ is our Softphone solution which can be installed onto your laptop and taken anywhere in the world using a broadband connection i.e. Hotels etc. The softphone would be used with a cabled or Bluetooth headset depending on the capabilities of your laptop.

The FGDTV Traveller is capable of all PBX functionalities plus many more such as call recording, video link and monitoring of your contacts availability using the on screen display.

FGDTV > HomeWorker

The FGDTV ‘HomeWorker’ option is ideally suited to small business with less than 5 users and most beneficially to companies of any size with homeworkers.

The HomeWorker system comprises of an ATA VoIP box with 2 phone lines available and a Dreytek firewall router installed at our offices. The ATA box is pre-programmed at our offices and connects directly into your ADSL router giving you 2 live VoIP lines. Simply connect an analogue phone into phone line 1 and connect your fax (or other phone) into phone line 2.In the event the system is being used in conjunction with other HomeWorker boxes, SMB or Enterprise systems the numbers assigned to the Homeworker Boxes will be DDI’s in line with the main system.

The HomeWorker ATA boxes are small to carry and can be used on Broadbands worldwide meaning this option can also be used on the move without losing your numbers.

Calls between FGDTV products will be free of charge as they are classed as ‘Internal calls’ even if abroad.

FGDTV > SMB

The FGDTV ‘SMB’ system is most suited for clients with 5-15 users. The SMB allows the use of IP Digital Linksys phones therefore increasing the quality and professional ease of the system.

The SMB system requires a Dreytek firewall at our offices with a Dreytek Router configured at your site.

Another option available is to use our configured ‘Balancing Router’ which in the event of one broadband failing would automatically change to the other broadband on site.

FGDTV > Enterprise

The FGDTV ‘Enterprise’ system is ideally for clients with 15+ users. The Enterprise utilises an Onsite HP server using SDSL or bonded ADSL for maximum efficiency. PSTN lines are also installed to provide backup.

The advantage of the FGDTV Enterprise on site server over the Hosted FGDTV SMB system is that in the event the broadband went down the system would transfer automatically on to the PSTN backup lines for incoming and outgoing calls. As well as this the system will maintain your LAN in order for transfer of calls and maintain full functionality. In respect to the Hosted system we would be able to divert the system to mobiles in the event the broadband failed.
