Voice Over IP Phone Systems

From June 2005, First Group Dynamics will be providing VoIP, a protocol on making calls over a high speed Internet connection.

The key benefit of VoIP will be significant reductions in both equipment cost and dialling charges. VoIP is set to revolutionise the way we communicate, with a predicted market share of 40% within the next 2-3 years

First Group Dynamics will provide IP Phones, which will connect to our Virtual PBX located in London. This will allow the main office, satellite offices and also home workers to synchronise to one central point. Telephone numbers will remain with no loss of quality or service. The Virtual PBX will provide full system functionality including VPN (Virtual Private Network), Voicemail, Conference Calling as well as full networked LAN (Local Area Network).

Connections Required

• ADSL connection for up to 4 x Users
• SDSL connection is required for larger users.

The VoIP Solution would be beneficial to outworkers as all calls to Local and National destinations would be free of charge. Calls to mobiles or International would be billed at a reduced rate by routing calls directly to our switch as opposed to routing through the BT Exchange indirectly.

The IP Handsets can be plugged into any broadband connection in the UK or Europe and is intelligent enough to automatically configure via the main switch/PBX bringing you back to the main group as an extension to a LAN. Calls between the group would be Free of Charge giving maximum flexibility.
