Carrier Pre Selection – Voice Savings

Our Low Cost Telecommunication services require no capital outlay and offers an immediate savings of up to 70%. This is most evident when dialling International destinations.

We are able to provide such competitive calls rates as we buy call time from three of the largest Carriers in the World (MCI, Telstra and Gamma). We are also able to provide discount on your Line Rental charges as described under ‘Wholesale Line Rental’ below.

In order to provide voice savings we use a method known as Carrier Pre-Selection.

Carrier Pre-Selection (CPS) was made available on the 12th December 2001. We no longer need to reprogram phone systems or provide equipment, and instead the routing of your calls is dealt with at the BT exchange. This enable you to benefit from the cost savings on voice calls without the need for capital outlay on any hardware. The CPS process takes 10-15 days to complete.

First Group Dynamics are a Wholesale provider and therefore are able to offer analogue and digital lines at wholesale prices with increased service support.  We are able to install new lines as required or transfer existing lines in order for savings to be made.

New line installations are subject to a 12 month contract.

Does my Line remain with the BT Network? – BT use the Openreach network for their lines  and therefore as First Group Dynamics are a Wholesale provider the lines remain part of the existing openreach network.

Line Savings – The monthly rental of lines is around 10% less than BT direct depending on line type.

Personalised Reports
First Group Dynamics are able to provide a report showing the exact savings you would benefit from on your lines. Such a report is achieved by using a copy of your latest BT or Carrier bill via fax on 01825 891199 or post using our address. You can find our address here.

Free for anyone who phones in the UK. If you require an 0800 number for your Company this means your respective clients will not be charged should they need to contact you. First Group Dynamics Ltd do not charge set up fees or monthly rental charges for the facility and our per minute rates are very competitive.

When choosing an 0800 number there are four levels of quality each with a setup charge associated:

Standard 0800 Number	Free
Bronze 0800 Number	£85.00
Silver 0800 Number	£175.00
Gold 0800 Number	£300.00

0345 is a local, non geographic number. The number sits on your existing STD number anywhere in the UK. The 0345 number gives your Company a national presence. You can apply an 0345 number across all numbers and have the facility managed in order to apply to certain branches / satellite outlets.

The cost to the respective client is 3p - 3.4p, standard local rate. First Group Dynamics Ltd do not charge the holder of the 0345 for the monthly charges however there is a charge for the managed facility.

NOTE:  The old form of 0345 was the 0845 number which are still in operation today and we are still able to provide.  The Industry are still awaiting final confirmation of the 0345 numbers and when confirmed will be in a position to begin reserving.

A cost for choice of 0345 will also be confirmed once Ofcom have advised.

0870 numbers are national geographic numbers, this again can provide your Company with a national presence. It can also be managed in the same manner as 0345 numbers where you can have international 0870 numbers which may apply to branches/Companies. The respective clients will pay a national rate 6.7p.

In the past the industry were able to provide revenue on these incoming calls to the holder of the 0870 number however this has now been changed and a cost to the number holder of around 3p per minute is now charged.

There are no set-up charges and no monthly rental charges for an 0870 number.

NOTE: The 0870 and 0871 range is now almost exhausted and therefore the new numbers 0872 and 0873 have been introduced.

GIS 0800 numbers are international 0800 numbers applying free calls for respective clients in most major countries. These can also be managed in the same way as the 0870/0845 numbers. Tariffs and management of these numbers depend on call volume.
